THE ROLE
We’re looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Small Engine Mechanic to join our growing service department. If you have experience working on lawn mowers, snowblowers, generators, ATVs, and other small engine equipment, we want to hear from you!
Job Description:
As a Small Engine Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing various types of small engines and equipment. You’ll need to be confident in performing tune-ups, carburetor changes, oil changes, and general maintenance on:
· Lawn tractors
· Zero-turn mowers
· Generators
· Trimmers and chainsaws
· Push and self-propelled lawnmowers
· Snowblowers (seasonally)
· Other small engines and handheld equipment
Responsibilities:
· Perform scheduled maintenance and tune-ups
· Diagnose mechanical issues and complete repairs efficiently
· Replace and adjust carburetors, belts, spark plugs, filters, and other components
· Complete quick diagnostics and provide accurate estimates
· Keep work area clean and organized
· Document work performed and communicate with the service team
· Provide quality customer service
· Help with general shop duties as required
Requirements:
· Experience repairing small engines
· Good diagnostic skills and mechanical knowledge
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
· Own tools (an asset but not required)
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
· Bilingual (English/French) is an asset
· Must be available to work on Saturdays
